Sabah is rich with flora and fauna, wonderful island, memorial heritage, also seafood gateaway ! Its like a wholesome of meal full with vitamins ( LOL!). Ok, cut the chase, im gonna cut in down to 10 place should visit while you in Sabah !
1. Mount Kinabalu
There are total of 146 climb permits & dormitory beds in all huts of Laban Rata only.It is advisable to stay in the Kinabalu Park or a highland resort prior
climb for high altitude acclimatisation 3D2N & above. There are no particular age limits for Mount Kinabalu climbers. As long
as you are good in health status or you have seek approval from your
doctor if you are on any medication.
2. Kinabalu National Park
If you don't have the strength climbing mount kinabalu, you can visit Kinabalu National Park. If you lucky, you might spot Raflesia in bloom ! You will have 4 stops during visiting there (depending on tour you buy). Nabalu park - botanical garden (canopy walk)- poring hot spring -lunch at fairy garden.
3. Sipadan - Kapalai Dive Resort
Popular for honeymoons and weddings, Kapalai Resort's fifty
elegant and spacious wooden chalets each offer ocean view
balcony with total privacy perfect for sunbathing or watching
the marine life just a few feet below.The underwater scenary at Kapalai is totally different from
the one seen at Sipadan. Indeed some of the world's
best dive sites for macro and tiny underwater life are
located just under the resort, accessible just by swimming
from the dive center pier.
4. Mengalum Island
The waters off Mengalum known for its rich and diverse marine life is a renown deep sea fishing ground and a fishing location for the annual Sabah International Fishing Tournament, an off-shore fishing competition that promotes the sport and also aims to encourage conservation of marine resources. Guests who are interested to go fishing can charter a fishing boat complete with fishing equipments from Mengalum Resort .
5. Weston / KLIAS / Garama Rivercruise
A Garama River cruise is the perfect opportunity for you to get in touch
with the natural treasures found in the well-known Sabah county from
the Borneo Island. People who think that the river is more than a place
for practicing extreme aquatic sports will have an excellent opportunity
to admire the habitat.
7. Maliau Basin - The Lost World
In the East Malaysian state of Sabah, on the great island of Borneo,
lies one of Malaysia's finest remaining wilderness areas, the mystical
Maliau Basin. Bounded by a formidable escarpment reaching over 1,675m
asl, the almost circular Basin encompasses reaching over 390 km2 of pristine forest, a virtually self-contained ecosystem.
8. Danum Valley Conservation Area
Recognized as one of the world’s most complex ecosystem, this forest
serves as a natural home for endangered wildlife species such as the
Sumatran rhino, banteng, Asian elephant, clouded leopard, orang utan,
proboscis monkey, as well as a vast range of Sabah’s lowland fauna.
9. Tip of Borneo - Kudat
The "tip of borneo" has recently been discovered to have the best beach in Sabah. This area is home to the most traditional ethnic groups in Sabah, Rungus people. The original rungus name for the tip of borneo is "Simpang Mengazou" which means Pirate Junction.
10. Kipandi Butterflly Park - Tambunan
The Kipandi Butterfly Park is located at the Kg. Kipandi, Moyog about
36km from Kota Kinabalu city via Penampang-Tambunan road and can be
easily reach from Kota Kinabalu. It’s great place to relax, in the
mountain air of the Crocker Range. Over 100 species of butterflies have been recorded in the park area and
many butterflies come into the garden to suck nectar from many flowering
shrubs, including the most rare and endemic mountains species
butterflies family of Papilionidae especially Graphium procles, Graphium
stratiotes and Troides andromache (Borneo Birdwing).
